Plot summary
Bono takes his one-man stage show to the Beacon Theatre in New York, where he recites and acts out passages from his 2022 memoir, Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story, and performs U2 songs in stripped-down arrangements. Among them are "Sunday Bloody Sunday", "Where the Streets Have No Name", "Vertigo", "Desire" and "Beautiful Day". The evening works through the parts of his life that shaped him: son and father, husband, activist, and the frontman of U2. The film gathers the Beacon performances along with footage that had been unseen, and a companion edition places viewers on the stage in 180-degree video with spatial audio.
