Plot summary
Bob Marley, Jamaica's most celebrated musical export, is the subject of a documentary that draws on the memories of those closest to him. Esther Anderson, his longtime girlfriend and an Oscar nominated actress, describes their life together in Jamaica and at Hope Road in London. Her account is accompanied by exclusive unpublished home video footage of their time as a couple. Anderson was so in tune with Marley that she helped write some of his hit records, and she speaks to his innermost thoughts and fears. The program also presents the last interview he gave in the UK, in which the journalist Kris Needs asks him about an injury to his foot and other topics on which he held strong views.
