Plot summary
Entertainers who have not found steady work live in Moms' theatrical boarding house in Harlem, and the place is broke. Payments have gone unmade, and the house stands to close with every tenant put out. Dusty, Jerry, Lila Foster, Norman Norman, Stanley, Simon, Moofty, Boo Boo and Freddie are among the boarders, and the mood around the house is slapstick. Their answer to the money trouble is to put on a show. To get one staged, they deceive a producer into helping them. The show is built around comedy sketches and performance turns, with specialty acts also on the bill.
