Plot summary
Chris Cowan is fifteen and rebellious, and to him his father Rick is a high school teacher with an ordinary suburban life. At school Chris has trouble with a few bullies, and when one of them demands his CD boombox, the player is rigged to deliver a shock instead. Then assassins come for Rick and Chris, and the life Rick had kept from his son is the reason. Rick once worked overseas as a CIA operative, and knowledge from that work still makes him a target. Father and son have to get away, and Rick has to keep Chris alive.
