Plot summary
Trained as a test subject in a secret program that produced supersoldiers, Tsui Chik also instructed a commando unit called 701. When one agent kills several policemen in a rage he cannot control, the government shuts the project down and orders every subject killed. Tsui Chik helps the surviving members of 701 escape, then settles in Hong Kong, where he works as a librarian and his closest friend is Inspector Shek Wai-Ho. Violent crimes soon spread through the city, more than the police can answer, and they carry the marks of his former comrades. The surgery that made the soldiers left them unable to feel pain. With the authorities helpless, Tsui Chik puts on a mask and a hat and moves against them as the Black Mask.
