Plot summary
Beyoncé Knowles performs in arenas and stadiums on six continents during the tour behind her album I Am... Sasha Fierce. Performances filmed at those stops, in Europe, Asia, South America and the United States, are edited together so the shows play as one concert, complete with staging, choreography, lighting and costume changes. Between songs come backstage recordings, some shot by Knowles herself on a laptop, and old video of her as a child. She talks about exhaustion and about the loneliness of the road, which led her to start filming. Jay Z and Kanye West join her as guests. A short documentary, Mic and a Light, is included with the concert.
