Plot summary
The couple at the center are Ben Sheets and Arthur Sailes, who live in Los Angeles and want to marry. No American state allows two men to wed at that time, so they wait until one changes its law. A priest officiates their ceremony once they reach that state. Arthur's brother Victor is a religious man who has been ostracized by his church, and he becomes obsessed with destroying the marriage and both men. His friend Stan helps him, and Victor also hires a private investigator, Justin Abraham. Ben and Arthur start married life with Victor plotting to kill them both.
