Plot summary

The documentary is an intimate look at her life, her hopes and the connection she has with the people around her. Michelle Obama writes a memoir called Becoming, and it becomes a bestseller when it appears in 2018. She follows it with a tour that takes her to 34 cities, and a film crew comes along for the whole trip, gathering material at the tour stops and during the television interviews she sits for. Part of the documentary grows out of the memoir itself, and part of it comes from footage of her travels, of her talk show appearances and of the work she took on while she was first lady.
