Plot summary
Marina, Sofía and Violeta are teenage sisters who grew up under their grandmother's care. When she dies, the three of them are left on their own in their parents' house in Buenos Aires, a house inhabited by memories, the responsibilities the grandmother left behind and the tensions between the sisters. Each of the sisters responds to the loss in her own way. Marina concentrates on her studies and takes charge of the running of the household. Sofía becomes absorbed in her appearance and in the possessions she keeps. Violeta spends much of her time away from her sisters, and an older man visits her from time to time.
