Plot summary
A botched business deal costs Stéphanie Mazerin the architecture job she has held into her forties. Recently divorced and with no money, she has no choice but to move back into the apartment of her widowed mother, Jacqueline, who takes her in gladly. Stéphanie starts hunting for a new position, and conflicts break out between mother and daughter as they adjust to sharing a home. The apartment is overheated, Francis Cabrel plays on a loop, and there are Scrabble games and motherly advice on table manners and on how to live. Her return also stirs jealousy among her brothers and sisters.
