Aniara (2018) on Netflix

Plot summary

Pollution and rising seas have made Earth largely uninhabitable, and settlers board the Aniara for a voyage to Mars that is meant to last three weeks. Mimaroben works on board as a Mimarobe, operating the Mima, an artificial intelligence that lets participants relive memories of Earth's green past through an immersive virtual experience. In the first week the ship swerves to avoid debris; the debris pierces the hull and strikes the nuclear reactor, and the crew eject the fuel to avert a meltdown. With no fuel there is no propulsion and no navigational control, so Captain Chefone promises that the journey to Mars can resume once the ship passes a celestial body, in no more than two years.
