Plot summary
Martin Schibbye and Johan Persson are Swedish journalists. Their assignment is a report on how the hunt for oil affects the people of the Ogaden, an isolated region of Ethiopia troubled by conflict. The border is closed to them, so they spend months on research and preparation and work out a way in from Somalia. Earlier attempts to get across come to nothing. On June 28, 2011 they finally make the crossing, an illegal step both had risked a great deal for. Five days afterward the two lie wounded on desert ground, fired on and taken into custody by the Ethiopian army.
