Plot summary
Andrea is a young girl in the Dominican Republic. She takes a cross from a tomb in a cemetery that is held to be sacred ground, and a vengeful spirit is unleashed. The spirit torments Andrea and the family around her, among them her father, Manuel, and her grandmother, Flora. The family's own past is what drives the spirit's attacks. The family seeks help from witch doctors and spiritual healers, who work against the spirit with them, hoping to restore everyday life. The account is presented as a true story.
