Plot summary
A singer and songwriter sets out across the United States to trace the roots of the country's music, walking the path Louis Armstrong took and visiting the places where that music first took shape. The journey passes through New Orleans, Nashville, Memphis, Chicago, New York City and Miami. Along the way come a paddle-wheel boat trip on the Mississippi Delta, a flash-mob dance staged in Chicago and a skydive with Elvis impersonators, all filmed for the giant screen. Jazz, hip-hop, country, the blues and rock and roll all took shape from the mix of cultures that met in those cities.
