Plot summary
A minivan carries five friends out of New York City in the spring of 2002, with 38 independent and craft breweries to reach in 40 days. The trip is recorded in a feature-length film about American craft brewing at the time, shot at the breweries themselves. Among the stops are Dogfish Head Brewery, Shipyard Brewing, Victory Brewing Company, McNeill's Brewery, Climax Brewing, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, Anchor Brewing Company, New Glarus Brewing Company, New Belgium Brewing Company and Bell's Brewery, among others. The finished film screened at festivals during 2004 and 2005 and came out on DVD late in 2005, with a special edition holding over 80 minutes of extra brewery footage.
