Plot summary
In September 2007, Amanda Knox, a Seattle honors student, arrives in Perugia, Italy, to study at the University for Foreigners and shares a cottage with two Italian roommates and with Meredith Kercher, who is British. In October, Knox meets Raffaele Sollecito, a computer engineering student, at a classical music concert, and the two begin dating. Kercher is found dead of stab wounds in her room on the first of November. Police question Knox and Sollecito. Perugia's chief prosecutor, Giuliano Mignini, reviews the case with a coroner, who reports bruises suggesting a struggle, and asks whether more than one person took part in the attack.
