Plot summary

A Tenctonese called an Eeno has died, and detectives Matt Sikes and George Francisco are handed the case. Sikes, who is human, works with George, his Tenctonese partner. Sikes is stupefied when George snubs the case. George, like most newcomers, reviles the outcast Eenos. The newcomers are Tenctonese, and the Eenos are a group apart from the rest of them. The two detectives investigate the Eenos and the mysterious death. In the same days, George is helping a Tenctonese binnaum named Albert Einstein and Albert's new bride May, who are trying to have a child.
