Plot summary
Ah Ying is a young woman in Hong Kong whose romance has begun to cool. She applies for a job at a film center. The center pays her nothing for the work she does, but lets her attend its classes at no cost. Her teacher is one of the people she comes to know there, and she becomes romantically involved with him. The film follows her growth as she dabbles in the independent film scene in the city, and it gives a realistic picture of contemporary Hong Kong life, made in part from real experience and with people who are not professional actors.
