Plot summary

Inside South Africa's Mala-Mala Game Reserve, a strip of bush beside the Sand River covers as much ground as Manhattan Island. Seven species live there, among them lions, elephants, rhinoceroses, hyenas and cheetahs. Each animal has its own strengths, and weaknesses as well. Cameras remain with them through a full day and a full night, moving from one to the next as their paths cross. Across those hours the seven separate stories become one. Some meetings come by chance, while others begin when one animal stalks another. The residents stake out territory, chase the same prey, and steer clear of neighbors they would rather avoid.
