Plot summary
Gangsters want back the diamonds that Carmen's boyfriend stole from them, and they kill him. She is put under the guard of two FBI agents who intend to keep her alive. The project began as a list of stunts its makers hoped to stage, and a synopsis was expanded into a full screenplay, with rewrites done on location. A neighbor who dealt in Porsches supplied the first money, and others in the stunt trade added more. Filming took place in and around Waco, Texas, across twenty-two days in March 1988, with local residents lending streets and cars and Baylor University students serving on the crew.

- On the first day of filming, the lead actress walked off to pursue a bigger TV role, and Alan Stewart threatened to sue, but his tight budget forced him to move on quickly and replace her with Texas-based Barri Murphy.
- Stunt coordinator John Stewart was struggling to raise money for his directorial debut when his neighbor, Porsche dealer Wolfram Berger, offered to finance it, with fellow members of the stunt community providing additional funds.
- The high fall was meant to be shot at Waco's tallest building, the ALICO Building, but with no airbag found for the 246-foot drop it was filmed at the First National Bank Building instead.
- Waco was so supportive that the mayor personally helped clear downtown streets for the helicopter fly-by, and locals handed over cars and even a gas station to blow up for free, lifting production values beyond the film's budget.
- Although he was a veteran stunt coordinator, director John Stewart performed no stunts in the film, for insurance reasons, because he was also directing it.
