Plot summary
Laila and Roshni are two trans women who share a rented place in Bhopal. Their landlord evicts them, and they begin hunting for another house to live in. The hunt turns into a wider effort to reclaim a place for themselves in society, since the city around them holds prejudices about transgender people. Stereotypes about their lives have to be overcome, and the same lack of understanding meets them at work and in other interactions. Discrimination, exploitation and oppression run through much of what they encounter, and understanding of their situation is scarce. Their situation reflects that of the city's transgender community.
