Plot summary
Laura and Ryan get talking at a nightclub and agree to meet again. Laura is nervous and Ryan is awkward, and neither has much experience of romantic relationships. As the time of the date approaches, both worry about how the evening will go, and their more sophisticated friends step in to get them ready. The two share a love of Meryl Streep and the damage of past relationships, and each plans to pretend to be someone else for the evening.
