Plot summary
David breaks up with Jose after eight years together, though Jose has always taken him for the man of his life. Since the break-up, the two have seen little of each other. To rebuild their friendship, they travel to La Palma, the island where they met, intending to mark eight years by seeking out corners of it they never reached. The people they meet there and the places they pass through stir opposing forces in each of them, and each man weighs what their years together were and where his path now leads. Memories of the relationship keep returning to Jose.
