Plot summary
Mateus is eighteen and leaves the countryside for a job at a junkyard in São Paulo, hoping to provide a better life for his family. The yard is run by Luca, and Mateus and several other boys work under him. There they become trapped in a system of human trafficking and labor akin to modern slavery. Mateus seeks to escape and weighs his moral code against his struggle to survive. He must choose between working for the man who imprisoned him and risking his own and his family's future.
