Plot summary
Monir has come to Sweden from a Middle Eastern country torn by war, and in the summer of 2015 he arrives with Farid, his older cousin. The Swedish migration board gives the two of them a cabin deep among the trees, where another refugee family also lives. The forest around the cabin brings Monir solace, and its quiet presence draws him out on walks that carry him further among the trees and further into his own thoughts. A local woman lives on the border of that forest, a mystery to him. He falls in love with the forest and with her.
