Plot summary
In 1975, a group of leftists share a house in Stockholm that they call Tillsammans. Göran loosely leads them; they spend their time arguing about left-wing politics and about whether doing the dishes is bourgeois. Göran's sister Elisabeth moves in with her children, Eva and Stefan, after leaving Rolf, her violent and drunken husband. Anna, who declares herself a lesbian, lives there with Lasse, her ex-husband, and their son Tet. Tet becomes friends with Stefan, and Eva befriends Fredrik, a lonely boy from across the street.
