Plot summary
Behind a fence in a forest, a residential tower block operates as a secluded community whose residents celebrate holidays together and guard their apartments closely: only a strict selection lets newcomers in. Anna Wilczyńska works as the building's security officer, stationed at the entrance and speaking to residents through the public address system. When Gerti's dog goes missing, the residents' harmony comes apart. Anna's sixteen-year-old daughter Iris had wished something bad upon the animal, becomes convinced she has the Evil Eye and shuts herself inside the bathroom, refusing to come out so that others stay safe. Nightmares trouble her, and she fears they will come true. Anna calls for calm while fear spreads through the building.
