Plot summary
Legal cases from across the United States come to the attention of investigative journalist Rae de Leon. In each one, a young woman tells the police she was sexually assaulted and is charged with making a false report. Some are arrested, and some go to prison, held by the system they had believed would protect them. de Leon travels the country to look into the cases she has found.
