Plot summary
On November 5, 1969, three football players at a high school scheme to drug their prom dates and abduct them. Mary Banner breaks free, and the football captain corners her in a storage room, strikes her and locks her in a trunk. Thirty-five years later, Samantha, Martha and Mindy retell the tale at a sleepover and jokingly summon Bloody Mary. By morning the three have vanished, and a day later they wake in a deserted mill with no memory of it. Samantha's brother David blames the football team. Samantha keeps seeing a dead girl with a bleeding head wound, and students around them begin dying in ways that match urban legends.
