Plot summary
In Glasgow, Bart runs a loan-sharking operation with Danny, whom he raised from childhood to attack debtors on command. A metal collar around Danny's neck keeps him docile; once Bart removes it, Danny fights. Bart accepts an offer to enter Danny in an underground ring that stages death matches. After a car accident leaves him alone, Danny takes refuge in an antiques warehouse, where Sam, a blind piano tuner, and his stepdaughter Victoria nurse him back to health. Raised as an attack dog, Danny barely knows how to live among people, and under their care he starts to learn, developing an interest in music.
