Plot summary
The coastal regions of Southern Australia, New Guinea and the Indo-Pacific are the territory the cameras cover, and the Great Barrier Reef is one of the South Pacific realms they enter. The film also sets out to show the effect of global warming on the oceans. Among the creatures on view are crabs that wear jellyfish for hats, fish that pass for frogs, stones and shag carpet, and a lovestruck cuttlefish. A Great White appears as well, in its terrible grandeur and with its terrible teeth, in waters filled with a kaleidoscope of life that dances and weaves, floats and darts.
