Plot summary
In a small village in Calabria, in the south of Italy, Rosa is a rebellious and restless girl. She lives with her uncle and her grandmother, and her mother died in mysterious circumstances when Rosa was still a child. No one will speak about the death, neither the town nor her own family. When her cousin Natale assaults a young prostitute, Rosa is pulled back to the trauma of that loss. With Gianni, the young man who guards the town cemetery, she decides to find out the truth about her mother's death and to restore her mother's memory.
