Plot summary
Every year the members of a fishing club sit down to a dinner. The restaurant that hosts it is busy with preparations for the event, which is given for an association of anglers. Gonzalo, Emiliano, Don Jose Maria and Lolín Rodríguez Merino take their places at the tables. The trout that reach the diners have gone bad, and the club will not accept that anything is wrong with the food. Mishaps gather around the banquet. The film satirizes middle class society in Spain under Franco's rule.
