Plot summary
Mr. T is a pool shark who also works as a private detective and a fixer, and he runs his business from a billiards room in South Central Los Angeles. He buys himself a new car each year, dresses in costly suits and keeps an upscale apartment, while still watching out for the neighborhood. Chalky Price and his partner Pete Cockrell put on floating dice games in the area, and four robbers in masks have robbed those games more than once. They pay T to learn who the masked men are, and he treats the job as ordinary work for a fair fee. T has ties on both sides of the law, and Captain Joe Marx of the LAPD dislikes him.
