Trigger Happy (2025) on Netflix

Plot summary

George Decker carries crushing debts, a nine-to-six job he finds demeaning, and a belief that American culture is designed to torment him, while he dreams of leaving it all for the Bahamas. Annie, his wife, is the one earning money, and her own dream is a part in a commercial for a sponge, the country's most watched program. Their only friends, Mikey and Gemma Breyer, hide troubles they never discuss: Mikey has no job and stays cheerful, and Gemma finds comfort with a skydive instructor. Nationally, gun ownership is a condition for health insurance, and the leading children's show, Triceraglocks, shouts its slogan over gunfire. George's answer is to kill his wife for her life insurance.
