Plot summary
Mike Ribble, once a star of the flying trapeze, walks with a cane after a fall. He is one of only six men to have completed the triple somersault. Tino Orsini, brash and inexperienced, wants Mike to train him for the feat. Mike brushes him off, then comes to believe Tino can match it and starts teaching him. The manipulative Lola draws Tino in, certain he is a star in the making, and Mike is under pressure to include her in the new act. Lola and Mike are drawn to each other, though Mike sees how mercenary she is, and a love triangle takes shape.
