Tony, Shelly and the Magic Light (2023) on Netflix

Plot summary

Eleven-year-old Tony has glowed since the day he was born, and his parents keep him at home to shield him from the world. Just before the Christmas holidays, a girl with thick glasses moves into one of the neighboring apartments. Shelly expresses herself in ways of her own, and Tony, wary at first, finds in her his first real friend. He shows her the fantasy world inside his pillow bunker. She shows him a flashlight that turns ordinary objects into visions only the two of them can see. Dark cracks are draining the light from the house, even the daylight, and the children work together to trace where the darkness comes from.
