Plot summary

The weekend at their grandparents' house is not like earlier visits for Tom, Suzanne and Derek: Grandpa keeps to himself, and Tom, the youngest, asks where Grandma has gone, the person who always had a story for him. Derek spends the time renovating the old hut in the apple tree. Suzanne decides to follow in her ancestor's footsteps and become the family's storyteller, inventing tales to fill the house in her grandmother's absence. In the stories she tells, a mysterious cat comes to help, a monster is far less frightening than it appears, and a man takes to the air; through them the children learn about courage and kindness. The tales are told in stop-motion animation.
