Plot summary

Eyüp drives for Servet, a wealthy businessman in the middle of an election campaign. On a wet night Servet hits a pedestrian on a road and drives away, then calls Eyüp and asks him to admit to the accident and serve the prison term; in return Servet promises to keep paying Eyüp's wages and to hand over a lump sum at the end. Eyüp agrees. He lives in the Yedikule district of Istanbul with his wife Hacer, who works as a kitchen assistant, and their son İsmail. İsmail has failed the college entrance exam again, and he wants to drive children to school for a living. The family has no car, so he presses Hacer to ask Servet for an advance on the money.
