Trailer

Plot summary

A junior copywriter at an advertising agency, Zoya Singh Solanki blames her luck for a career and love life that have stalled. A shoot sends her to Sri Lanka with the Indian cricket team, where she meets Nikhil Khoda, the captain, who argues that matches are won by hard work rather than superstition. At a team breakfast Zoya mentions that she was born on the day India won its first World Cup, and the players begin to treat her as a lucky mascot. Her father, Vijayendra Singh Solanki, already credits her with the 1983 title. The team is short of wins with the World Cup weeks away, and the Board offers Zoya an official mascot's contract over the captain's objections.
