Plot summary
Jin Maddison, a young journalist, has traced the beginnings of many Christmas customs to Selah, a remote town in the Midwest. Years earlier, a well known reporter died there in an accident while working on the same subject. Jin goes to Selah to untangle the mystery, suspecting that the festive holiday hides a darker truth. She arrives to find no decorations, lights or signs of the season, and most locals will not even talk about Christmas. After a violent encounter, private investigator Amy Carson comes to her aid. Carson has been following several missing persons cases that led her to Selah.
