Plot summary
Johnny Varron runs with a group of teenagers and drives amateur dirt track races between parties and troublemaking. A motorcycle officer chases him at high speed, and Johnny forces the officer off the road, calls him chicken, and rejoins his friends. The police take him in for questioning, and he denies any involvement. The next day is the big race, and Johnny wants his best friend Dave at the pre-race party. Dave is shaken by the incident with the officer and is spending time with his new girlfriend, Nancy, who Johnny thinks is stuck-up. Johnny tells Dave she has to fit in or she is out. For the party, Johnny buys whiskey and beer though he has no identification.
