Plot summary
Andrew Colby says Leopold Kroner has threatened him, so he hires Bob Regan, a brash young lawyer, as a personal bodyguard. The post is short-term and pays well, and Regan takes it. Kroner is a former partner of Colby's who once worked at Colby Enterprises and who has just finished a five-year prison term for embezzlement. Regan quickly finds that he may be in over his head.
