Robin Raymond
Biography
Robin Raymond was an American film actress, sometimes credited as Robyn Raymond, who graduated from Northwestern University and worked in Chicago as a press agent before turning to acting. She played Blossom Le Verne on Broadway in See My Lawyer in 1939. In 1941 she signed a contract with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and spent a year in incidental roles before going freelance; she went on to appear in more than 40 films. She was usually cast as a hard-boiled glamor girl, and her voice and manner were so close to those of Iris Adrian that the studio PRC gave her the lead in Rogues' Gallery (1944), her only starring part, when Adrian was unavailable. Her films included Johnny Eager (1941) and Arabian Nights (1942), where she was a slave girl, and in The Glass Wall (1953), a film noir, she played the burlesque dancer Tanya Zakoyla. She also worked in television, on Trackdown, Perry Mason and Dragnet.
