Plot summary

A British documentary about Manchester United, tracing the club from its early days to a following of more than 650 million people. It opens with the city of Manchester and the social and economic conditions the club grew out of, then moves to the Busby Babes, the Munich air disaster and the decades that followed. Archive material and never-before-seen footage runs alongside interviews with former players and a former chairman of the club, who describe what the club went through to reach success after Matt Busby and into the Alex Ferguson years. The film also follows Eric Cantona's transfer to Manchester United and his career at the club.
