The Trouble with You (2018) on Netflix

Plot summary

A lieutenant in a town on the Riviera, Yvonne would rather be in the field than at a desk. Each night she tells her son Théo stories about his father Jean, an officer who died two years ago and is remembered by the town as a hero. A routine interrogation changes what she knows: Jean was corrupt, and he had Antoine sent to prison for a jewelry store hold-up the man did not commit. Louis, a colleague in love with Yvonne, talks her out of revealing anything and letting Antoine serve his final weeks. Yvonne watches Antoine's release and follows a man who has spent years locked up as he tries to return to Agnès, the wife who waited for him.
