Plot summary
The hack of a high-tech self-driving bus is stopped by Mel Bandison, who works as an ethical hacker. Stopping it also shuts down an international criminal network. The criminals behind that network make her a target, and a deepfake video appears that seems to show her killing someone, so she is framed for murder. With the police after her because of the video, she looks for the people blackmailing her. Thomas Deen, the clumsy man she went out with the night before, is beside her as she flees the criminals and the police.
