Plot summary
Three generations of one family, a grandmother, her daughter and her granddaughter, live bound together by love and hate. Baba Zina, the grandmother, lives in Pryputni, a small, almost abandoned village in Ukraine. Her daughter Liudka and her granddaughter Svitlana set out to visit her. At a bus stop they meet Yura, a provincial taxi driver, who agrees to drive them for a promised payment. Nothing about the trip suggests his stay will last longer than he expects. In a single day the women face strange and almost tragic events that push them to re-examine their routines, their habits and their old ideas.
