Plot summary

A young generation of Syrian artists makes work about the uprising and about the exile that followed. Abu Hajar is a rapper, Anas Maghrebi a post-rock musician, and Bahila Hijazi and Lynn Mayya play in a Syrian rock band made up of women, the first of its kind. Bboy Shadow is a break-dancer and Medhat Aldaabal a choreographer. Tammam Azzam, Omar Imam and Diala Brisly are visual artists. Their music, movement and images are how they take part in the fight for peace, justice and free expression. Their work is made in exile, where it answers the chaos of war and speaks to what being a refugee means today.
