Plot summary
Sherlock Holmes is convinced that a string of apparent suicides are the work of a woman he calls a female Moriarty. He fakes his own death in Scotland and returns to London in secret. The dead are wealthy gamblers. Disguised as Rajni Singh, a distinguished Indian officer, Holmes moves through the city's gaming clubs, watching for the person behind the killings.
